The online entry process is very easy, simply filling out a short registration form and then uploading your images as JPEG
files. If you have already registered, login so that you may go to
your Artist Account page. That is where you upload your image files. You may enter as many
images as you like.
We suggest making your JPEGs at least 1500 pixels wide (for horizontal shots, or 1500 high
for verticals). Save your files at Quality 10 (or just
choose the highest quality option). Please keep the file size no bigger than 5 megs per
image (when the file is closed). We suggest using the Adobe RGB color space profile.
FAQ about resolution: You can set the PPI resolution to be any number value. The PPI resolution is a "relative"
number, pertaining to printed reproduction. For example, a 1500 pixel image when set to print at 300 PPI will be
exactly 5", or if set to print at 100 PPI will be exactly 15". But the file size (in terms of MB) will be the
same for both, due to the fact that the only thing that was changed by the user was it's printing instructions.
Since we are not printing, we are just projecting the actual file with a digital projector, the issue of PPI
does not matter to us. The only issues that matter to us are the number of pixels (at least 1500) and saving
your JPEG files at a quality level of at least 10.
Concerning your JPEG images which you enter, please do not watermark them or put a copyright notice on
them. That would distract from the image quality when the judge (Neal Benezra) is viewing your pictures.
And it's unnecessary - this is a very private and closed judging process here, and your images are 100%
secure. We promise you that.
It is preferred that you upload your JPEG files to us via your Artist Account page on this
website. But if you would rather email us your files, go ahead and send them to:
entries@artofdigitalshow.com. Or, you can mail us a CD with your files.

Our judge, Neal Benezra,
will view all of the images in late August, being projected with an ultra high-resolution
digital projector in a very well organized manner. Once he has made his selections for the
Show, the artists will all be notified on September 2, 2007. Each artist whose art was
selected will then arrange to print and frame those selected pieces. The "ready to hang"
framed prints must be delivered to San Diego by September 25, 2007.
Artists whose work is selected for exhibition in the Show will receive an email
with many specific suggestions, ideas and
requirements about "presentation", about the printing and framing of the
selected images. Basically, prints will need to be framed or have some other form of
presentation device and arrive here "ready to hang" in the gallery. Presentation
is important in our view, so we'll be encouraging everyone to frame and prepare their
selected prints very nicely. Size is up to you, but we would suggest about 2 to 4 feet
wide (60 to 120 cm) for the outer dimension of the frame. The price for each framed
print is entirely up to each artist to decide.
